A Bit About Me

Jacobi is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a unique background.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from University of Colorado, Boulder, before earning a law degree from New England School of Law in Boston. After spending years in public interest and family law, Jacobi felt a calling to make a deeper impact on people's lives, which led to a shift in focus to mental health and her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge.

Throughout her career, Jacobi has gained clinical experience working in detox, intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and residential treatment settings. She has worked with court-mandated families alongside DCFS and provided trauma-informed psychotherapy to veterans struggling with PTSD and other diagnoses following military service and hospitalization.  Her work is also shaped by international experience in the nonprofit sector where she developed a deep commitment to cultural competency, allowing her to meet each client and their particular perspective with sensitivity and respect, because every client’s story matters.

Jacobi approaches therapy with profound empathy and insight. She is able to draw from personal and professional experience in order to form authentic, compassionate connections with clients as she navigates with them their unique path to wellness.  Passionate about teaching DBT skills for effective coping, Jacobi also incorporates creative arts therapies like music, writing, dance, art and drama into her sessions while grounded in modalities of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

In her free time, Jacobi paints, hikes, runs, listens to music and spends time with loved ones. She values creative expression as part of her own self-care and is honored to be part of the Launch to Wellness team, where she is dedicated to supporting clients in their personal journeys of growth and discovery.
